Alan Wake and Quantum Break developer Remedy Entertainment’s next game, Control, now has an official release date.
Control’s release date was first seen on Microsoft’s Xbox store as it appeared to be published early, and now Remedy has confirmed to Eurogamer that Control will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27, 2019.
Control will be the first Remedy multiplatform title since Max Payne 2 and puts players in the shoes of Jesse Faden, who was recently given the title of director of the Federal Bureau of Control.
Alongside that promotion comes certain upgradable telekinetic abilities like Shield and Launch and special transforming pistol that she will have to use against The Hiss, an evil and strange force that has invaded our world and is corrupting other workers at the Bureau.
This Bureau, by the way, is the only location that Control will take place in, but as this is a paranormal and psychological thriller, players can expect the Bureau to hold a lot more secrets than appear on the surface.
Control, which made our list of 49 Big Games Coming in 2019, will be released on August 27, 2019.
