A Nintendo eShop sale kicked off on Tuesday, following the company’s E3 2019 presentation. While the Nintendo Direct got us hyped for the slate of upcoming Switch games, many of which are already available for pre-order, this sale offers up to 50 percent off existing games at Nintendo’s digital storefront.
Essential Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are on sale for $40.19, down from $59.99. First-party Switch games are very rarely discounted by more than $10 or $15, and that’s usually for physical copies. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on digital versions.
There are also some excellent indie games discounted at the eShop, including my favorite game of 2018, Celeste. Cult classics like Undertale, Cuphead, and Dead Cells are also on sale.
In addition to the games discounted in the eShop sale, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is down to $49.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. That matches the lowest price we’ve seen on the gamepad.
Finally, Best Buy is offering a new Switch bundle, throwing in a free 128 GB microSD with the console.
Nintendo’s E3 eShop sale runs through 8:59 a.m. PT on June 18.
