Xbox Live WARNING: Download a free Xbox game today before Microsoft removes it!

Xbox Live Gold subscribers need to get a wiggle on if they want to experience and try Xbox's latest free game giveaway.

Whilst Xbox Games with Gold usually features four free games to play each month, the console giant makes a thing of giving away more titles at the weekend with their 'Free Play Days'.

This weekend, on top of Mortal Kombat 11, which is free to play on Xbox and PS4, Xbox players can also trial a brand new game of 2019 – Warhammer Chaosbane.

The games been available to play since Thursday, October 10 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and will remain free to download and play until Sunday, October 13 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

Which for anyone in the UK is actually 8am Monday morning.

We unfortunately didn't have the time to review Chaosbane when it released earlier this year, however, we were able to have a fairly extensive hands on with the game some months back.

So, whilst it's not a full overview – we'd suggest a quick look on Metacritic for that – Here's a small snippet of our impressions from the time we sat down to play.

Chaosbane feels, and looks, a lot like Diablo or any other top-down dungeon crawler. With a host of abilities, you wade into the fray, dispatching dozens of enemies in seconds and holding back countless more.

It’s the sort of game that doesn’t take a lot of thought, or effort to be good, but it feels so rewarding when you mow down a thousand squishy monsters that it’s hard to worry about. Abilities activate through the single button presses so you feel rewarded for how cool it looks, rather than how difficult it was to pull off.

It's immediately engrossing and the perfect game to mindlessly play with friends. It's fast paced, but what’s better is that it doesn’t wait for the slowest player. Menu screens are designed not to interrupt the other players, even in local coop.

More impressive, heroes will start following their teammates if they are still lost in menus and item descriptions when the rest of the party wants to move on. It's such a joy that the action won’t be halted by that one player that has to read everything, unlike so many other loot focused games.
