Developers Ubisoft is launching Watch Dogs: Legion on PS4, Xbox One and PC this week, with next-gen versions to follow.
While some gamers will have to wait a little longer to play due to their next-gen choice, others will soon be able to preload the game.
The dev team have provided a full plan for the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, which has a release date penned in for Thursday, October 29, 2020.
A message from Ubisoft adds: “We’re only a few days away from launch, and we are very excited to see you build your resistance and liberate London!
“The game will be available on October 29 at midnight local time in each country. From then on you will be able to recruit anyone, play as anyone, explore our near-future London, fight back against the authoritarian powers who want to take over, and find out who is behind the Zero-Day bombings.
“Our Online mode will launch early December, offering up to 4-player co-op and a variety of new content, activities and stories. We will share more details as we get closer to December.”
When it comes to the preload, Watch Dogs Legion will be available to download on October 26 at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm CET on Uplay and on the Epic Game Store for PC.
The good news for console players is that this option is already available on Xbox One, and players on PS4 can start preloading shortly after midnight local time on October 27.
Here are the currently confirmed download sizes for Watch Dogs: Legion on each platform:
If you’ve bought a physical version of the game, start the installation process from the disc. You will then be asked to download a 6.19GB patch. For digital installations, players can expect a 40.4GB download. The final installation size on PC will be 45GB, plus an additional 20GB for the optional HD textures.
