Remnant From The Ashes: How To Solve The Bell Puzzles

One of the more unique spins on the Souls-like genre, Remnant: From the Ashes also packs in more puzzle elements than its contemporaries. Sure, the Dark Souls series has its fair share of riddles and mysteries, but none are quite as involved as the bell puzzles you can find in this already difficult game.

While you may be inclined to simply ignore or avoid them, the rewards you will find from solving these puzzles more than make it worth your effort. If the solution to these has evaded you up until now, fear not. This guide will show you just how to solve all the bell puzzles.

All Bell Puzzle Solutions

There are three separate bell puzzles you can find in Remnant: From the Ashes. There’s the Red Doe, Pan Flautist, and Song of the Lullaby puzzles that all have their own solutions. The first two are found in the Yaesha area, but all revolve around the same mechanic of interacting with the bells in the correct order to match a melody. If you happen to accidentally hit the wrong bell, or are too slow, you will have to either kill yourself or go back and reload at the checkpoint for another chance to try again.

Red Doe Bell Puzzle Solution

The first bell puzzle is located in the Widow’s Vestry dungeon. The solution, using the odd symbols on the bells, can actually be read in your journal as well. Facing the center platform in the middle of the ring of five bells, designate numbers to each bell from left to right, one through five, to make the solution easier to grasp. Here’s the correct order:

  • 5
  • 4
  • 3
  • 3
  • 4
  • 1
  • 2
  • 3
  • 2
  • 1

After the final bell is rung and pedestal will appear in the center of the bells holding the Scavenger’s Bauble amulet. This increases the amount of scrap you loot by 25%

Pan Flautist Bell Puzzle Solution

The second puzzle, located right at the Pan Flautist checkpoint, will work exactly the same. This time, though, there’s no journal entry to help you, forcing you to listen closely to the Flautists song. We’ll label the bells in the same manner as before, from left to right, one to five. Here’s which ones to hit to match the song:

  • 3
  • 4
  • 5
  • 3
  • 2
  • 1

Do it correctly and another pedestal will bring you your prize. This time it is the Wolf ring, which boosts your stamina by 25 and movement speed by 10%.

Ravager Bell Puzzle

These bells are much more spread out in this arena, making it a little harder to label. After going through the fog, designate the bell directly to the entrance’s right as one, and the one to the left as two. The bell in the center will be three, the top left four, and top right five. Here’s the correct sequence:

  • 5
  • 1
  • 5
  • 1
  • 2
  • 3
  • 4

This is a tricky one to do fast enough, so having a partner will help a lot. Managing to solve this puzzle will get you some new dialogue and the giant wolf Ravager will give you the Stalker’s Claw. This can be taken back to Ward 13 and used to craft the Jungle God melee weapon.
