Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of Rainbow Six Quarantine, a spin-off from the Rainbow Six franchise.
During Ubisoft’s E3 conference, the company debuted a cinematic trailer to announce the title, which uses the same engine as Rainbow Six Siege.
Quarantine is a three-player co-op experience where you’ll face off against ‘an unknown parasite’, although they were cagey on what exactly the enemies will be.
In a video detailing the game’s mechanics, Quarantine will play in a way which will feel familiar to Siege players, with operators Ela and Vigil even making an appearance at the end of the teaser.
It looks similar to limited-time event Outbreak which appeared in Siege’s early seasonal content, but we’ll have to see if there’s any major difference which make it worth a separate spin-off.
Like many of Ubisoft’s announcements, including Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine was leaked prior to E3 2019 via numerous reports.
