PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console
While over the weekend the @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter also claimed Argos had received shipments of its latest PS5 restock, with more on the way.
On Sunday the PlayStation 5 stock tracker posted: “PlayStation 5 (Argos) Exclusive News
“Shipments have arrived Saturday 31st July, with more shipments expected to arrive till Monday 2nd August. Both Disc and Digital Editions included.
“Online drop expected 3rd-6th August (8am).”
Argos has previously had stock of the PS5 Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart bundle.
But typically Argos PlayStation 5 restocks are for the standalone PS5 Disc and Digital consoles.
GAME could also be opening orders for the PS5 once again this week.
The news comes courtesy of the @PS5UKStock account who last week tweeted: “More News: GAME have updated their listings to show a delivery date of 20th August with a high chance of this going live mid next week.”
In other PS5 news, last week Sony released a PS5 beta update which added the long awaited support for PlayStation 5 owners to expand their console’s internal storage.
Alongside this eagerly anticipated new feature, Sony also revealed extensive requirements PS5 fans need to be aware of when purchasing an SSD to install in their console.
It may feel a bit overwhelming – if you’ve been a console gamer all your life – going through Sony’s advice on what SSDs work best with the PS5.
Thankfully, PlayStation architect Mark Cerny has delivered a helping hand – pointing to one SSD that works on the PS5.
The SSD Cerny highlighted is the WD_Black SN850 NVMe SSD game drive and heatsink.
Cerny tweeted a picture of this SSD and said: “Our solution to our very active two gamer PS5 household? His-and-hers SSDs 🙂
“Couple of awesome options for 7000MB/s, ended up putting my $$ down on this one. Going to be SWEEET!!!”
