Killer Queen Black Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass In January

Liquid Bit has announced that Killer Queen Black is coming to Xbox Game Pass on January 5, 2021.

Killer Queen Black is a fast-paced multiplayer game, where two teams take on the role of insects. The matches involve battles between two teams of four players, with one taking the role of the Queen and the other three playing as Workers. There are three ways to win a round in Killer Queen Black and each method requires crafty teamwork. The first method is the Economic victory and it requires the Workers to collect berries from bushes around the stage and return them to their home base. The second method is the Military victory which requires the players to kill the other team’s Queen three times in a single round. The third method is the Snail victory and this involves a huge snail that can be found in the center of the stage. It’s possible for Worker units to ride the Snail, prompting it to head to one of two goalposts. If the player can get the Snail to their goal post, they win the round. The first team to win three rounds is declared the victor of the match.

Killer Queen Black started out in the arcades, before coming to MacOS, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2019. The game is finally making the jump to another system, as the official Liquid Bit YouTube channel has a trailer for the Xbox One version of the game. Killer Queen Black will be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X on January 5, 2020. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch day. The official Twitter account for Killer Queen Black has confirmed that it will have crossplay with the other versions of the game.

Killer Queen Black is a lot of fun to play. It’s surprisingly deep, and the two roles manage to be entertaining in their own right. The Switch port had long load times, so the Xbox Series S/X versions of the game will hopefully be a lot faster.

Microsoft is promising some big things for Game Pass this holiday season, as it’s trying to attract an audience to the Xbox Series S/X. Not much has been said about 2021, but Killer Queen Black is a great way for Game Pass to start the year.
