The final episode of Guild Wars 2’s The Icebrood Saga is finally here. The first of four chapters, Truce, can now be accessed by anyone who purchased Path of Fire.
The final episode in The Icebrood Saga is called Champions and will be told through four chapters over the next few months. In the first chapter, Truce, you’ll see the “forces of fire and conflagration emerge with the elder dragon Primordus at their head.” You’ll gain access to a host of new content, including replayable Dragon Response Missions to help fight off the terrifying new threat to Tyria.
You can get a glimpse of some of the upcoming content in the latest Guild Wars 2 trailer:
The Living World finale will slowly come together over the course of 2021, with the final chapter of the episode scheduled to launch in May. In between chapters, you can expect smaller updates that expand upon previously released content and give you new ways to interact with the world around you. Here’s a look at the full schedule for Champions:
- November 2020 – Chapter 1: Truce
- December 2020 – Wintersday
- January 2021 – Chapter 2: Power
- February 2021 – Lunar New Year
- March 2021 – Chapter 3: Balance
- April 2021 – Super Adventure Festival
- May 2021 – Chapter 4: Judgement
That’s a pretty full schedule of events, and each chapter is set to offer plenty of content to keep you busy in between launches. ArenaNet is dedicated to keeping the world of Guild Wars 2 alive and well – even postponing its Steam release to focus on crafting high-quality expansions.
Chapter 1, Truce, is now available in Guild Wars 2. It brings with it new story missions, new weapon skins, allied recruitable factions, and a new Dragon Slayer Master to help you fight off Primordus and his demonic forces.
If you haven’t yet picked up Path of Fire, you’re in luck. From now until November 23 you can find the expansion on sale for just $27.49 – 50% off MSRP. It also comes with the previous expansion Heart of Thorns, giving you even more great content to explore.
