Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is deemed the best deal in gaming by many, but it could also be the best deal for anime as well. Two months of Funimation Premium Plus is included with the services. Now that’s Plus Ultra!
Funimation is a streaming service primarily dedicated to anime with both dubbed and subbed content available. There are a lot of popular shows on the service like My Hero Academia, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, Hunter X Hunter, and many more.
The Premium Plus currently goes for $7.99 a month, according to Newsweek. It allows you to watch all the anime available on the service with five shared accounts at one time. You can also download your desired episodes on your iOS or Android device. The Premium Plus service also gives subscribers special offers on the shop, early access to sales, and free shipping for orders over $20.
If you want to stick around and just watch the anime, however, there is a cheaper Premium option for $5.99 a month. This will allow for two streams at the same time as opposed to five, but if you’re watching the shows by yourself, this is a great option if you don’t need the additional perks.
While Xbox may lack Japanese RPG exclusives, including two months of Funimation is a great way to deliver content from the land of Nippon to its fanbase.
Xbox Game Pass has been hitting its strides recently with some big moves in the industry. First, Microsoft acquired Bethesda for $7.5 billion last month, and its very likely that all of their upcoming titles will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Doom Eternal just joined the service this week.
Next, EA’s subscription service EA Play will be tied into Xbox Game Pass on November 10 for console users. This means that Game Pass users can gain access to Dragon Age: Inquisition, Need for Speed Heat, and many more titles under EA’s backlog of titles. EA Play also brings 10-hour trials of its recent releases with FIFA 21 being one of them this week.
Xbox Game Pass keeps getting stronger every week, and we won’t say no to a little bit of anime.
