Fortnite Season X (10) is coming to an end, and fans are gearing up for the 11th instalment of the battle royale game.
You may be loving what Season 10 has brought us, but the truth is nothing lasts forever, and Fortnite Season 11 will inevitably come.
Fortnite Season 10 is all about being nostalgic for the past and excited for the future.
So what better way to honour Season 10, than to look forward to Season 11?
The Fortnite Season X Battle Pass has dropped and seemingly revealed the start date of Fortnite Season 11.
When is the Fortnite Season 11 release date?
Fortnite Season X has been extended for an extra week, and will not start this weekend as planned.
Now Fortnite Season 10 is expected to end on Sunday, October 13 at 7pm.
That means Fortnite Season 11 will start a few hours later.
When the new season dropped the Season 10 Battle Pass said it would last until October 6 – which is this Sunday.
However, it's not unusual Epic changes the release date as they go.
Each season of the Battle Royale game lasts roughly 10 weeks, after which Epic Games rolls out a major update for a new season.
There are of course some exceptions, for example Season 9 lasted for 12 weeks.
The latest patch notes show there will be another week of Fortnite Season 11.
That means time-limited rewards, and the delayed Out of Time Overtime Mission, which starts on Tuesday, October 8.
Epic Games will most likely keep tight-lipped about the new theme for as long as possible.
But in the lead-up to the new season there will be little clues here and there.
The theme itself is never usually revealed until the morning of the release, but stay tuned in the weeks leading up to it.
Between Season 9 and Season 10 we saw a giant monster and robot face off against each other.
During the Doggus vs Cattus showdown the robot pulled out a huge sword to defeat the monster.
Afterwards they were left with a giant orb of glowing energy at the Vault – known as Zero Point.
When things started to ramp up Zero Point exploded, as time has become twisted.
Epic Games has said about Season 10: “Board the Battle Bus and drop in, but keep an eye to the skies to spot the new Season X mech vehicle, the B.R.U.T.E. Crashing on the island as the Battle Bus takes off, these merciless mechs seat two players and works best with a partner, so grab a squadmate, hop in, load up, and roll out.
“A new Season also means the debut of the Season X Battle Pass. Over 100 exclusive rewards are ready for you to unlock, and it still costs the same 950 V-bucks! This time around, you’ll get the X-Lord and Catalyst Outfits instantly when you purchase the Battle Pass. As you level up, you’ll unlock rewards like dual pickaxes, emotes, loading screens, Outfit styles, and more. At Tier 100, you’ll unlock the hulking Ultima Knight Outfit.”
Fortnite Battle Pass:
Fortnite Battle Royale is free, but you will need the Battle Pass to unlock additional challenges.
Epic Games said about the Season X Battle Pass: “Time is twisted in Season X! The more you play, the more rewards you unlock. Level up faster by completing Missions to unlock exclusive rewards like Outfits, Emotes, Back Blings, Wraps, Pets, and more!”
The Battle Pass usually costs the same each season, so we can expect the same for Season 11.
The Battle Pass costs $9.99 (£7.99) or 950 V-Bucks in-game.
Stay tuned for more information as hints and teasers start to drop.
