Bungie has made a lot of big changes this month to their popular shooter but the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time is one of the things that is staying the same.
Scheduled to be the first of Season 15, this week’s reset will follow the same basic rules as those in the past; Most of Destiny’s biggest events and rituals will begin anew.
Most built-up progress of the past week will disappear and it will be up to Guardians to unlock the best rewards using their own skills.
This includes activities that offer the best level loot, which are capped to avoid excessive farming.
Knowing when the big activity reset is scheduled is essential so that you can avoid as much grinding as possible as you head for the higher levels.
There will also be new challenges to take on and plenty of new information shared regarding what’s being planned for later in the week.
WHAT TIME IS THE DESTINY 2 WEEKLY RESET?
The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time has been scheduled for 6pm BST on Tuesday, August 31.
And as a rule, moving forward, all Bungie resets are held on Tuesday, with no other dates employed at this time.
As mentioned above, the Destiny Weekly Reset affects a number of big activities in-game, with the full list including the following events:
- Crucible Challenge
- Raid Challenges
- Raid Encounters
- Raid Checkpoints
- Europa Powerful Rewards
- Vendor Bounties
- Gambit Weekly Challenge
- Strike Playlist Weekly Challenge

Weekly Resets in Destiny 2 are also attached to other activities, including Xur disappearing off the map for a few days.
The mysterious merchant recently got an upgrade and now offers several items that are not limited to exotic.
Where is Xur this week? The Agent of the Nine has a new landing spot, with Guardians tracking him down to The Tower Hangar, located by Dead Orbit.
Xur is selling: Tractor Cannon for 29 Legendary Shards, True Prophecy, Escape Velocity, The Last Dance, Main Ingredient, Hollow Words, Seventh Seraph SAW, Bite of the Fox, Knucklehead Radar for 23 Legendary Shards, Forged Machinist Helm, Doom Fang Pauldron for 23 Legendary Shards, Forged Machinist Gauntlets, Forged Machinist Plate, Promethium Spur for 23 Legendary Shards, and Forged Machinist Greaves.
These items will be available until this week’s Destiny 2 Weekly Reset, making it well worth the trip to find him.
No maintenance has been announced this week as part of the Reset, so there shouldn’t be any delay in playing through on activities.
