Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation, the digital turn-based RPG based on D&D's Tomb of Annihilation module, is getting delisted later this month. The game is part of a series of Dungeons & Dragons modules turned into short adventures, including Castle Ravenloft and the Temple of Elemental Evil.
Tomb of Annihilation arrived in 2017 from developer BKOM Studios. The game was released alongside the pen-and-paper module and generally follows the same storyline. A group of four adventurers is tasked with delving into the jungles of Chult to determine the source of the "death curse," which is preventing spells from raising the dead and also causing previously raised people to waste away. Doesn't really sound like much of a curse, but you gotta remember that important people get raised from the dead all the time in Forgotten Realms.
While the tabletop version allows you to play whatever character you want, the digital version of Tomb of Annihilation has four pre-set heroes to choose from: Artus the ranger, Asharra the Aarakokra mage, Birdsong the Tabaxi bard, or Dragonbait the Saurial fighter. There's also DLC for each character with expanded gold and equipment, as well as an expansion character, Qawasha the human Druid.
Sadly, you'll only have a few days left to experience Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation 30 quests, item crafting, and procedurally-generated maps. The developer has announced that the game will be delisted from Steam on May 20.
"We are sorry to announce that Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation will become unavailable for purchase on May 20th 2022," wrote BKOM Studios. While existing players will retain the game in their libraries, Steam users won't be able to purchase the game or any of its DLC.
That leaves you just under two weeks to purchase Tomb of Annihilation, but if this game looks interesting to you, then you might want to buy it in the next 24 hours. Tomb of Annihilation is 85% off for the next day, while the DLC is 60% off. You can also get the Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC, for 76% off.
