I Walk The Line is one of the meatier quests in Cyberpunk 2077 – there’s a lot to dig into here, especially if you’re not the kind of player to take the violent route. If you’re going stealthy, then Pacifica’s Grand Imperial Mall is massive and has a lot of routes for you to get creative with, especially if you’ve been investing in some unique hacking abilities.
But in addition to the trek through the mall, you’ve also got to deal with a boss fight and some decisions which will cause some pretty huge ramifications for later quests. There’s a lot to get right here if you want to do everything you can in Cyberpunk 2077, so here’s everything you need to know in the I Walk The Line quest.
This quest is preceded by M’ap Tenn Pelen and is followed by Transmission.

Infiltrating The Grand Imperial Mall In Cyberpunk 2077
Once the quest begins properly, you’ll find yourself outside of the Grand Imperial Mall in Pacifica, and you’ll need to get inside and find a van, the only problem being that the mall is filled with enemies. Now, of course, the easy way to do this is to just start shooting at everyone you see, but that’s not exactly the tactical way to do it. You can go in quietly, but you’ll have to be creative about it.
To initially gain access to the mall without being seen, you should look to the left side of the mall, near the back. You’ll see two gang members, and you can either use the Reboot Optics hack to blind one, take down the other to remain unseen, or you can just wait and they will eventually leave. You can enter a garage, and then climb crates to get into an upper level. There are a couple of doors here you can open with either Body or Tech attributes to speed this mission up, but if you haven’t got the requirement you’re going to have a harder time.
Now you’re inside watch for the one security camera that is located in this garage area, and then make your way inside the mall proper. There are a lot of enemies stationed at various points here, and you’ll want to make your way to the van.
Finding The Van And The Cinema In Pacifica In Cyberpunk 2077
Finding the van isn’t too simple, but we’ve got a full guide for just that purpose right here, so make sure to take a look at that if you want to find the van inside Pacifica’s Grand Imperial Mall.
However, you can skip the van entirely, and move forwards. There’s a shutter near the van you can use, and heading up the stairs inside there will lead you to the cinema area, and the boss, Sasquatch.
There is a way to skip Sasquatch, though, just as there’s a way to skip the van. From the shutters next to the van, head away from the van, to the entrance right of the shutters. There’s another staircase in here, and this one will actually take you just behind the entrance to the cinema. If you sneak by, Sasquatch won’t notice you, and you’ll be able to go inside the cinema directly to your end goal.
Fighting Sasquatch/Matilda K. Rose In Cyberpunk 2077
Even though you can skip this fight, as detailed above, fighting all of the bosses in Cyberpunk 2077 is a lot of fun, and well worth the effort.
Sasquatch, or Matilda K. Rose, is a brutish woman with a huge hammer she’ll throw like Thor, even though she has the build of Hulk. You can use numerous hacks to slow her down, but the best tactic to take her is to combine grenade bombardments with the highest DPS weapon you have available.
The only true way to make this fight a bit easier is to take out her implants on her back – a blue glowing spot that will take away a lot of Sasquatch’s tenacity. You can stealth attack this area using the routes we mentioned above, or just dodge around Sasquatch when mid-fight. Careful, even when a good distance away she’ll throw her hammer at you, knocking you down, so you’re never truly safe.
Making A Deal With The NetWatch Agent In Cyberpunk 2077
Once you’ve dealt with Sasquatch and everything else in Pacifica’s Grand Imperial Mall, it’s time to talk with the Netwatch agent that has been hiding away here. Move into the cinema and head to the projection room to talk with him.
Now, he’s going to make you a deal, but you might want to think twice. You’re looking to Brigitte and the Voodoo Boys for help with the Relic, and if you do a deal with this agent, the Voodoo Boys with suffer for it.
So, if you make a deal with the agent, the Voodoo Boys will become your enemies from this point forward and will attack you on sight, blocking off all remaining quests involving the Voodoo Boys permanently.
If you deny the NetWatch agent, then he shall die. That’s pretty much the only repercussion. Doesn’t seem like an equal outcome, really.
Making A Deal With Brigitte in Cyberpunk 2077
Once all is done you can leave the mall, and, assuming you did not make a deal with the NetWatch agent, the Voodoo Boys will be willing to take you to see Brigitte, despite being surprised that you’re even still alive. If you did a deal with the agent, consider that the end of this questline.
Once you finally meet Brigitte you must just accept all of her terms in order to continue the questline, but if for whatever reason you did mouth off at her in this moment and regret it, you can call her on your phone to apologise and then take her up on her offer to help to start the next quest, Transmission.
