Armoured Core 6 Will Get An Hour Long Presentation February 3

Armored Core 6 is on its way, but we still know precious little about the coming From Software title. We know where it will take place, we know it'll center around mech customization and intense, action-packed missions, and we know that the guy who designed Skiro is in charge of development. But other than that, we're still in the dark.

But perhaps not for long. Bandai Namco just announced that it will host its BNE Fun Live 2023 presentation on February 3, 8 AM JT (6 PM ET) to coincide with the Taipei Game Show. It's going to be an hour-long pre-recorded presentation that centers on Armored Core 6: The Fires of Rubicon. We'll hear directly from game producer Yasukei Kokura, and English subtitles are expected.

Announced at last year's The Game Awards, Armored Core 6 takes place on the planet Rubicon 3. A strange new substance discovered on the planet promised an energy source the universe had ever seen, but instead of advancing civilization toward utopia, the substance exploded in a cataclysm that engulfed the entire planet in fire and storms. Now called the Burning Star System almost half a century later, the same substance that produced catastrophe is being fought over by intergalactic conglomerates and resistance groups trying to prevent another apocalypse.

Although FromSoft has come to be known for its Soulsborne games epitomized in Elden Ring, Armore Core 6 will return to the franchise's roots. The game will follow a level-based structure, with FromSoft's Hidetaka Miyazaki noting a conscious effort has been made to avoid falling into the Soulsborne mentality. Armore Core 6 will emphasize fast combat and mech customization, and while a player-versus-player mode will be present, the focus will be on an engaging single-player campaign.

While we're waiting for Armore Core 6, Elden Ring fans are also eagerly awaiting news of DLC. Bandai Namco has hinted that more big announcements are in store for 2023, so stay tuned.
