Team Unique cited unprofitable efforts on marinating a Dota 2 team through pandemic times and suspended the entire roster until more feasible news regarding the Dota Pro Circuit will come from Valve.
In the announcement made on their official vk.com page, Team Unique CEO, Georgy Faleev stressed on the fact that it wasn’t the team’s performance that led to this decision, but rather the unstable competitive scene and lack of updates from Valve regarding the return of Dota Pro Circuit. “As we enter the month of November, the next season situation is still unclear,” Georgy Faleev said adding that “at the moment, it is most unprofitable to keep the team in this discipline.”
According to him, Team Unique’s crisis aggravated this summer when the borders closed and some of the players dealt with health issues.
Following the decision to pause the activities, Stanislav “BZZ” Glushan and Yaroslav “Pikachu” Vasilenko were freed from any contractual obligations with the organization, while the rest of the players have been moved to an inactive status and put on the transfer list.
Team Unique roster:
- Yaroslav “Pikachu” Vasilenko
- Egor “19teen” Lexutin
- Stanislav “BZZ” Glushan
- Danil “illusion” Volchan
- Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod
