LG UltraGear, the gaming monitor brand of South Korean electronics company LG Electronics Inc, announced on Monday that it signed a sponsorship deal with global esports organization Gen.G Esports for its League of Legends team.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gen.G Esports told The Esports Observer that the UltraGear logo will feature on the shoulder of the team’s jerseys.
As an international esports organization with strong ties to North America and South Korea, Gen.G also opens its China office in Shanghai. On Monday, the organization expanded its content creation team by inviting seven former professional players, streamers, as well as social media influencers including Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin, Jehong “ryujehong” Ryu, and influencer “Snitchery.”
Alongside LG UltraGear, Gen.G’s other sponsors include dating app Bumble, Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s, Samsung, PUMA, Logitech G, and Chinese live streaming platform DouYu.
