Last Skins of 2020: Legendary Lee Sin and more Champions added to the list

Yesterday, Riot Games published an update regarding the “State of Skins and Events”, where Riot Bellissimoh, Production Director on League of Legends, talked about the skins team process and gave us some teasers of the upcoming ones.

In the communicate, they reminded us of their commitment to increase the number of skins each year, and assure us that they will reach their goal of 120, and probably exceed it and hit “close to 140 skins by the end of 2020”.

Their focus remains on those champions that haven’t gotten new skins in a long time, and so they have been doing, with all the champions in their list but Nautilus, Skarner, and Ornn.

Actually, they have added eight more champions to their list, so we can expect new skins coming before the end of 2020 for Anivia, Aurelion Sol, Azir, Illaoi, Ivern, Singed, Yorick, and Zac.

A couple of days ago, new skins for Ornn and Skarner were finally revealed, and they are scheduled to arrive on the Summoner’s Rift in a few weeks (probably after Worlds):

But this is not all.

In the new communicate, Riot Bellissimoh has teased some new skins for three different champions that look really, really insane.

Singed:

“Though many in the Resistance find Singed unsettling, few can deny his efficacy in pushing back the machine threat. For Singed, the only thing that matters is driving back Viktor’s creations, whatever the means”. – Riot Games

Aurelion Sol

“Aurelion Sol will be appearing in a brand new thematic that we’re currently calling Dragonmancers. Aurelion Sol awaits the ascent of a warrior worthy of receiving the power of the storm”. – Riot Games

Zac

“Never content with his extant creations, Viktor’s latest innovation has forged an experimental alloy that shifts between liquid and solid states. Incredibly flexible yet nigh-indestructible, the new zoophagous assault constructs, or ZACs, spring onto the battlefield, harvesting and consuming any resistance that stands in their way”. – Riot Games

The last surprise

In case we were not happy with these teasers, the rioter has delighted us with a new announcement: a Legendary Lee Sin skin is coming in the next few months!!

Riot Games introduce this skin with the following text: “a warrior ascetic consumed with an electric passion for justice, Lee Sin climbed the Mountain of the Storm Dragon, Hoping to receive his blessing. Having returned from the summit as a legendary Dragonmancer, Lee Sin now doles out thunderous punishment to villains everywhere – ever under the watchful eye of his draconic patron”.

This means that the new skin of Aurelion Sol will be connected to the Legendary skin of Lee Sin, so we may have a completely new set full of skins that follow this “Dragonmancer” theme.

We still don’t have any date, but at least we saw how Riot Bellissimoh promised to us all of it coming before this year ends… they still have time!
