Victus, a gaming laptop brand of Hewlett Packard (HP), announced on Wednesday that the brand signed a sponsorship deal with Chinese esports organization Suning Gaming (SN) for the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) Summer Split.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SN was the best performing LPL team in 2020, as the team took second place at the League of Legends World Championship in Shanghai. The team also has monitor brand Skyworth, smartphone OnePlus, KFC, Logitech G, Huya, and Suning, the parent company of SN, as sponsors.
HP’s OMEN is also one of the sponsors of the Chinese esports organization Royal Never Give-Up (RNG) LPL team.
After RNG won this year’s Mid-Seasonal Invitational in Iceland, Riot Games and TJ Sports have confirmed that the LPL will have one more qualifying place, “four slots,” for this year’s World Championship in Shenzhen. The terms “four qualifying slots” and “World Championship hosting in China” will continue to improve the LPL team’s sponsorship value during the Summer Split.
