As we are aware, the Dota 2 Pro Circuit finally makes its return this year and for North America, there are a few new challengers entering the arena – with a host of young, new talent and some well-known ones too.
While open qualifiers for the first DPC event of 2021 may kick off tomorrow, four teams have been directly invited into the closed qualifier bracket: Black N Yellow, Doze Reborn, 5ManMidas and Undying. Although these NA Dota 2 rosters may not have been heard of before, some have a few well-known players looking for a fresh start in 2021. These four teams will join up with four open qualifier squads as they battle for places in both the Upper and Lower Division – which could, in turn, see them heading to the first Major.
While two of the teams feature largely unknown rosters: Doze Reborn and 5ManMidas, they do still have a shining chance of reaching unprecedented heights – especially in the NA region, with such a vast list of new teams. However, Black N Yellow features the likes of Eric “Ryoya” Dong, Andrew “Jubei” Evelyn and Francis “FLee” Lee – all off whom have been on prominent teams in NA, South America and even Southeast Asia. More surprising is the formation of Undying, which was seen in the early hours of this morning signing up on the Dota 2 Minor and Major registration page.
The squad features two Canadians, a Peruvian, a player from the Czech Republic and a South Korean, all of whom are extremely well-known and looking to make their mark on the NA Dota 2 scene. The full Undying roster, as seen above, is:
- Enzo “Timado” Gianoli
- Jonathan “Bryle” De Guia
- Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek
- David “MoonMeander” Tan
- Kim “DuBu” Doo-young
It will be interesting to see if any of these four teams, or the four that join through open qualifiers, will be able to challenge the upper division – which includes the likes of Evil Geniuses, 4 Zoomers, Quincy Crew and Sadboys.
