FaZe Clan, the North American competitive esports and gaming lifestyle brand, has announced that the company has brought on Amit Bajaj as its new chief financial officer. After what FaZe is calling a “successful 2020 anchored by tremendous growth,” Bajaj was brought on to oversee finance, strategy and corporate development at FaZe Clan. The newly minted CFO will also collaborate with the rest of the leadership team to “expand growth opportunities for the business.”
While Bajaj may be relatively new to the esports space, he has some extensive traditional sports experience having been, most recently, the chief executive officer at BIG3, a three-on-three professional basketball league featuring former NBA all-stars, hall of famers, and world champions.
Also, as an investment banker for over 20 years, Bajaj served as a partner at Centerview Partners where he “provided advice and counsel to prominent media and technology companies.” Prior to his time at Centerview, Bajaj was a senior member of the investment banking practices at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.
