Esports partnerships and sponsorships highlights for December 2019

Each and every month, dozens of partnerships and sponsorships are announced in esports. It’s hard to keep track of every development if you don’t follow Esports Insider religiously, but even then, there’s a lot of content to consume.

To make things easier, Esports Insider has hand-picked a selection of the most impressive, surprising, and noteworthy deals that were announced in December 2019.

Spacestation Gaming and Tanner Fox collaborate with Hot Wheels

North American organisation Spacestation Gaming announced a collection with Mattel brand Hot Wheels in collaboration with Tanner Fox.

The collaboration sees Spacestation Gaming, Fox, and Hot Wheels release a co-branded car that will be available in stores at Walmart, Target, and other major stores stateside from early 2020.

Astralis Group to operate Juventus’ esports efforts

Italian football club Juventus entered a partnership with Astralis Group that sees the Danish company operate its esports initiatives.

Juventus was announced as one of four additions to Konami’s eFootball League ahead of its second season.

EGL to manage Arsenal’s esports efforts

English football club Arsenal FC brought in esports tournament platform Esports Gaming League (EGL) to manage its esports efforts.

The partnership sees the tournament platform manage Arsenal’s Pro Evolution Soccer roster, which also competes in Konami’s eFootball League.

Overwatch League finds voice supplier in TeamSpeak

Overwatch League appointed audio communication platform TeamSpeak as its official voice supplier.

In a three-year deal which begins in 2020, the league will integrate TeamSpeak into its systems to facilitate in-game communications.

ESL and DreamHack ink television rights deal with Blake Broadcasting

Blake Broadcasting partnered with ESL and DreamHack to broadcast their tournaments in the United States, Canada, and Asia, with the exception of China.

Per the agreement, which runs from March 2020 through July 2023, over-the-top streaming service CBNN will serve as the exclusive satellite channel for the ESL Pro Tour and ESL’s Dota 2 competitions.

Team Queso enters two-year deal with Lotto

Spanish organisation Team Queso announced a two-year deal with Italian sportswear manufacturer Lotto.

The partnership sees Lotto supply Team Queso with footwear and apparel to the organisation’s players.

Betway rings in new year with renewed BLAST partnership for 2020

Bookmaker Betway renewed its partnership with esports entertainment company BLAST ahead of BLAST Premier’s debut in 2020.

The partnership, which builds upon a relationship between the two companies forged early in 2019, will offer “a host of branding and content opportunities for Betway” throughout BLAST Premier’s broadcasts.

GODSENT tries on Björn Borg partnership

Swedish organisation GODSENT announced a three-year exclusive apparel partnership with fashion brand Björn Borg.

The collaboration, which GODSENT states began in autumn, sees Björn Borg’s apparel integrated into all GODSENT official match wear and merchandise.
