ESL Gaming and Guinevere Capital Introduce Oceanic League of Legends Infrastructure

ESL Gaming and Guinevere Capital have announced a new partnership to operate a League of Legends esports infrastructure for Oceania. The companies have received a three-year license from Riot Games to operate their new league with an option to extend for an additional three years.

The new league was developed in collaboration with eight established esports organizations in the region. More details will be revealed in early 2021.

Earlier this year, Riot Games announced it was shutting down its Oceanic Pro League, eliminating the highest level of esports competition in the region. This new league will allow the teams which were established to participate in the OPL to continue operation.
