Collegiate StarLeague, a leading college-level esports competition organizer, has launched a new business venture under the name CSL Esports. The new business will provide turnkey esports activation and tournament services to colleges and universities looking to monetize esports on campus and through student activities. Former Philadelphia Flyers Senior Client Development Executive Charles O’Donnell has joined Collegiate StarLeague as director of business development and will lead the new venture.
Prior to launch, CSL Esports developed and executed more than 50 on-campus activations for schools such as Penn State, Louisiana State University, and University of California, Los Angeles. The company is also working with schools outside of the traditional premier athletic programs such as Lone Star College, which has contracted CSL Esports to develop a “large scale program for on-campus and online leagues,” according to a release.
